Our connection to the horse is ancient and visceral. Cavalry Hats
I was looking around and found a cavalry hat that I have been looking for. It is a very nice hat and you can get different patches like cross sabers and more. Qisma a Very Lucky Horse
This is the story of one of my horses named Qisma his name means lucky in arabic. I adopted him from the humane society after him and twenty one other horses were taken away from there owners. Qisma was one of the lucky ones because him and eight others lived the rest had to be put down. The people who owned them let many of there animals starve to death and not just horses. Qisma was in bad shape when I first saw him, his hoofs were so long that some people called him ski because it looked like he was skiing. Qisma is a black arabian but he did not look like one, his belly was burn from standing in a pen for one year with out being cleaned. When I first saw Qisma he was two colors light brown on the bottom and black on top, he was afraid of every one and everything. It took me almost a year, with the help of a vet to get him back to his right weight, he would not eat apples at first or his grain. I have had Qisma for four years now and he is a beautiful black arabian, he loves to be brushed and petted. So if you see a animal who deeds help or a person we all should help. Horses for dummies
Here is a book for someone with there first horse it is called “ Horses for Dummies” by Janice Posnikoff D. V. M. Horse lovers will flock to this volume, which is chock full of down-to-earth, practical advice. While much of the information would be useful to anyone involved with horses, this book is really for the prospective horse owner who is just starting out. The novice will find the book easy to use, as each chapter stands on its own as a source of information about a specific aspect of horse ownership. Users can refer to the topic they need, and important sections are marked with icons indicating “Tip,” “Warning,” and “Remember.” There is even an indicator for “technical stuff” that the beginner may not need to know. The book’s coauthors are a veterinarian and an editor of an equine magazine, respectively, and both are well versed in the intricacies of horse ownership. They are careful to point out matters of protocol, those things that are always done a certain way in the horse world, though often for no apparent reason. If you are just starting out I would highly recommend you read this book.
