This is the story of one of my horses named Qisma his name means lucky in arabic. I adopted him from the humane society after him and twenty one other horses were taken away from there owners. Qisma was one of the lucky ones because him and eight others lived the rest had to be put down. The people who owned them let many of there animals starve to death and not just horses. Qisma was in bad shape when I first saw him, his hoofs were so long that some people called him ski because it looked like he was skiing. Qisma is a black arabian but he did not look like one, his belly was burn from standing in a pen for one year with out being cleaned. When I first saw Qisma he was two colors light brown on the bottom and black on top, he was afraid of every one and everything. It took me almost a year, with the help of a vet to get him back to his right weight, he would not eat apples at first or his grain. I have had Qisma for four years now and he is a beautiful black arabian, he loves to be brushed and petted. So if you see a animal who deeds help or a person we all should help. Thanks for listening to my story.

41KY3A6YKEL._SL160_There are many products out there for your horse shampoos, brushes, fly sprays, hoof care and coat shine products. Shampoos are very important they should be strong but gentle one with lanolin in it will keep his or hers skin moist and shining. Most horses love to be brush make sure that the brush is not to soft or to hard. When buying a brush take it and put it across your hand if it hurts it is to hard if it feels real soft it is some were in the middle is better. Fly spray can help a lot try spraying a little on before a ride this will help to keep bugs away while you ride because your horse is going to sweat. When done riding wash your horse off to get rid of the sweat. Hoof care is very important check your horses feet before riding or working him. If you show your horse and you want his or hers hoofs to shine there is a polish that you can get to made them do this it looks great. I hope this has helped you and I recommend that you try some of these product.

41pshC5H0sL._SL160_The health of your horse is up to you to take care of . There are many products out there some you need and some you do not. The best way to know is to check with your vet and follow they advice. I have found many products on line like fly sprays, fly masks. Fly sprays and fly masks are very important in the summer and fall. F lies will lay eggs in your horses eyes and cause pain, blindness . Some companies make a trowel cover with fly repellent which works very good around the horses eyes. You should start giving your horse a bath at a early age this will help him get used to a water hose. Washing your horse after a ride, work out or just for fun will help keep the flies away. Most horses will come to enjoy the baths and brushing. Worming your horse is very important and easy you can buy worming products to put in they food. I have found a place were you can go to find most of the products that I have been talking about. They have a wide selection of products for your horse I highly recommend this place.
